Donald M. “Donnie” Valenti, 64, of Edinburg, passed away the morning of September 3, 2022. Born in New Castle on November 24, 1957, Don was the son of the late Samuel and Grace Morrow Valenti. He is survived by his devoted wife of over forty-two years, the former Patricia Faraone, whom he married on September 8, 1979.
Don proudly served his country and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and the National Guard. He was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus site. He had been working as an electrical engineer for C.J.L. Engineering. Don enjoyed hunting, woodworking, and classic cars. He will be sadly missed by all his family and friends.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Nicole Valenti of New Castle and Michael Valenti and his wife, Kayla, of Edinburg; his sister, Andrea Wadlinger and her husband, Thomas, of New Castle; three grandchildren, Kilye, Enzo and Catarina, two nephews and one niece.
Family will receive friends on Friday 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 941 S. Mill St. A Blessing Service will be held at the funeral home at 2:00pm on Friday conducted by Deacon John Carran of Holy Spirit Parish. Entombment will take place at Parkside Cemetery and Mausoleum.
Eternal rest grant unto Donald, O Lord. Let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
