A 1977 graduate of Union High School, she later completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Services at Gannon University, Erie, PA. Dianna retired from Jameson Memorial Hospital, New Castle, where she worked as a transcriptionist for many years. She previously worked in the same capacity at St. Francis Hospital, also New Castle.
Dianna was a member of the Holy Spirit Parish, St. Mary’s site. A member of the KP Club, New Castle, she was also a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh Pirates. Dianna enjoyed fishing and cooking, and devoted much of her life to caring for her family.
Also surviving are her mother, Josephine Sedwick, Union Twp.; a step-daughter, Kay (William) Troutman, of New Castle; two step-sons, Christopher Silvis, of Edinburg; and Earl Silvis, of New Castle; a brother, Michael Sedwick, of Union Twp.; three grandchildren, Nicholus Silvis, and Dianna and Cody Troutman.
Dianna was preceded in death by her father, Louis Sedwick; her paternal grandparents, Floyd and Virginia Sedwick; and her maternal grandparents, Louis and Mary Magusiak.
Calling hours will be 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday (1-5-21) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 111 W. Falls St., New Castle. All Covid-19 safety guidelines will be strictly observed. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 9 a.m. Wednesday (1-6-21) in Holy Spirit Parish, St. Mary Church, 124 N. Beaver St., New Castle, with Rev. Anthony Sciarappa, as celebrant. Lord God, you are attentive to the voice of our pleading. Give Dianna eternal rest, O Lord, and may your light shine on her forever. Let us find in your Son comfort in our sadness, certainty in our doubt, and courage to live through this hour. Make our faith strong through Christ our Lord. Amen.
