Dawna J. Nice, 72, of 219 N. Beaver St., New Castle, passed away the evening of April 7, 2021, at UPMC Jameson Hospital. Dawna was born May 9, 1948, in New Castle. She was the daughter of the late Donald A. and Agnes (Walzer) Goodrich.
She was a graduate of Neshannock High School, class of 1966. Mrs. Nice retired after 25-plus years of service as a bus driver with the Neshannock Township School District.
Mrs. Nice is survived by her son, Kevin (Diana) Nice of New Castle; sister, Dana (Willie) Kneram of Sebring, Florida; and three grandchildren, Carik Nice, Jordon Nice and Landen Nice.
In addition to her parents, Dawna was preceded in death by her grandson, Cameron Nice.
Following in her wishes, there are no calling hours or services scheduled at this time. Burial will take place at Castleview Memorial Cemetery. Committal service by Fr. Anthony Sciarappa of Holy Spirit parish. Local arrangements were entrusted to the Noga Funeral Home, Inc.
Lord God, you are attentive to the voice of our pleading. Give Dawna eternal rest, O Lord, and may your light shine on her forever. Let us find in your Son comfort in our sadness, certainty in our doubt, and courage to live through this hour. Make our faith strong through Christ our Lord. Amen.
