David S. Majeski, 80, of 725 Paul St., New Castle, passed away the morning of Jan. 18, 2024, with his family by his side. David was born May 26, 1943 to the late Stanley E. and Agnes McIltrot Majeski. He was married for 53 years to his wife, Karen L. (Beatty) Majeski. She preceded him in death on Nov. 23, 2021.
Mr. Majeski retired after 31 years working for Penn Power in the maintenance department. David graduated from Shenango High School, class of 1961. He attended Slippery Rock University. David loved cars and working on them. He had a '67 Firebird/500, '65 GTO and '38 Street Rod. Both the Firebird and GTO were retained by his children. He was a member of the Rapid Tappets of Lawrence County. David missed his wife terribly, and they are finally together again.
Survivors include his three children, David C. (Crystal) Majeski of Council, North Carolina, Beth Ann (David) Lechel of Ellwood City, Pennsylvania, and Amy (Derek) Slapsak of Diamond, Ohio; one brother and sister-in-law, Gary (Julie) Majeski of New Castle; two sisters, Kathy (John) Mazzocca of New Castle and Shari (Brian) Ball of New Castle; and three grandchildren, David P. Majeski, Gregory R. Majeski and Marah (Keith) Brammer.
David was preceded in death by his wife and parents.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 21, 2024, at the Noga Funeral Home, Inc. 1142 S. Mill Street, New Castle, PA 16101. A funeral service will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Monday in the funeral home. Deacon John Carran of Holy Spirit Parish will officiate. Burial will be in Center Presbyterian Cemetery.
Eternal rest grant unto David, O Lord. Let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
