David Pezzuolo, 72, of Bessemer, PA passed away the afternoon of July 5, 2023 surrounded by his loving family at Hospice House in Poland, Ohio. Born in New Castle on January 28, 1951, David was the son of the late James M. and Rose M. Sainato Pezzulo. On August 17, 1974, David married his beloved wife, the former Judy Ann Grimes. She survives at home.
In early years, David worked for Carbon Limestone. He then spent the next thirty-two years as an elementary school teacher for Mohawk School District. David was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, St. Anthony site.
David enjoyed the outdoors going hunting and fishing. He was an avid sports fan, especially of the New York Yankees. He had been a coach for baseball, basketball, and Jr. High little league. David was also a member of the Mahoning Sportmans Club. One of his greatest joys was attending sporting events for his son and grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, David is survived by his son, Mark Pezzuolo (Jennifer) of Bessemer, PA; his brother, James A. Pezzulo (Patricia); his sister, Donna Malinak of New Castle; and two grandchildren, Vincent and Gianna.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Ronald Malinak.
Visitation was Sunday, July 9, 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 3000 Wilmington Road. A procession will leave the funeral home on Monday at 10:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Spirit Parish, St. Camillus Church. Father Joseph McCaffrey, Pastor will officiate. Burial will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
Eternal rest grant unto David, O Lord. Let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
