David G. Mann, 74, of New Castle passed away the afternoon of December 4, 2020 at UPMC Jameson. David was born in New Castle on June 15, 1946. He was the son of the late Herbert and Louise Strawniak Mann. On September 29, 1978 David married his beloved wife, the former Anita Frank. She survives at home.
David had proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. He had worked as a Conductor on the Rail Road. David was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vincent De Paul site. He was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Lawrence County Sportsman Association and the Elks Lodge. He was also very involved with “2400 Projekt Paranormal”.
In addition to his wife, David is survived by his brother Herbert Mann (Janet), his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, John and Ann Frank, his beloved dog, Jack, nine nieces and nephews, five great-nieces and nephews and five great-great nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Lou Campbell.
A private blessing service officiated by Seminarian Merv Knieriem of Holy Spirit Parish will be held at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 941 South Mill St. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
