David A. Beck 77, of Union Township passed away peacefully the evening of April 26, 2022 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Born on April 25, 1945 in New Castle, he was the son of the late Wilbur A. and Victoria DiMuccio Beck. On November 24, 1990, David married his beloved wife, the former Victoria Saul. She survives at home.
David had worked for The Briar Hill Works of U. S. Steel. He was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, St. Mary site. David had proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler Fan. David enjoyed being in the outdoors, fishing, gardening and riding his motorcycle. He was a member of the U.S. Military Veterans Motorcycle Club. A loving husband, father and grandfather David’s greatest joy was the time he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was the Best Papa Ever! He will also be missed by his dog, Jasmine.
In addition to his wife, David is survived by his children, Lucia Carter, David Beck, Jr., Adam Beck, Julie Beck-Harrington (Michael) and Valerie Pavlov (Robert) and his step-daughter, Vicky Lynn Callahan, two sisters, Cora Benn Beck and Rosemary Hano, seven grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Friday 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 941 S. Mill St. A Blessing Service will be held on Friday at the funeral home at 5:00 p.m., Deacon John Carran of Holy Spirit Parish will officiate. The New Castle Area Honor Guard will perform Military Rites at the funeral home. Burial will be in Parkside Cemetery.
Eternal rest grant unto David, O Lord. Let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
