Daniel Lee Buly of New Castle passed away January 30, 2020 at Clen Moore Place from complications of Parkinson’s disease. He was born on March 12, 1950, to Michael and Fedora (Gigli) Buly in New Castle, PA.
Dan was a 1968 graduate of Shenango High School where he was selected First Team Tri-County as an offensive lineman for the Wildcats football team. He served for six years with the Pennsylvania National Guard. He worked as a truck driver and was retired from Pitt Ohio Trucking. He then worked with his brother at Badger & Buly Excavating. In addition, Dan was an avid muscle car enthusiast and skilled in drag racing. Dan was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, St. Camillus Site.
Dan is survived by four brothers: Michael (Sharon) Buly of New Castle, PA, Robert (Lynne) Buly of Larchmont, NY, Larry (Karen) Buly of Pottstown, PA and Albert (Beth) Buly of Strafford PA as well as four nephews and three nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his longtime friend, Glenda Nicklas.
Visitation will be on Sunday February 2 from 2 to 5 pm at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 941 South Mill Street. A procession will leave the funeral home on Monday, 2-3-2020, at 9:30 am for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am, at Holy Spirit Parish, St. Camillus Church. Father Brendan Dawson will officiate. Interment will follow at Parkside Cemetery where the New Castle Area Honor Guard will perform full Military Rites.
