Dale (Frosty) E. Fruehstorfer, 80, of New Castle passed away the morning of January 15, 2021 at his residence. Born on July 4, 1940 in New Castle, he was the son of the late Clarence F. and Viola Neyman Fruehstorfer. On September 21, 1963, Dale married his beloved wife, the former Bonnie Sheen. She survives at home.
Dale retired from the United States Postal Service after thirty one years as a mail carrier. He previously worked as a butcher for Figuly's Meats. He was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, St. Joseph the Worker site.
Dale was an avid classic car enthusiast. He was a founder and board member of Rapid Tappets Antique Car Club. He also enjoyed hunting with his brother and nephew. His greatest joy however, was spending time with his family and miniature dachshunds, Molly and Polly.
In addition to his wife, Dale is survived by his children, Michael (and partner, Ron) of Hollywood, CA, David (and wife, Linda) of New Castle, and Beth of Mars, Pa., his brother, Tim Fruestorfer (and wife, Sue) of Endeavor, PA; his nephew, Todd Fruestorfer and niece, Lori Kennedy.
In addition to his parents, Dale is preceded in death by his mother in law and father in law, Norman and Elizabeth Sheen.
A Private Blessing Service will be held at Parkside Mausoleum Chapel. Deacon John Carran of Holy Spirit Parish will officiate. Entombment will be in Parkside Mausoleum. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 941 South Mill St.
