Holy Spirit Parishioners, the bishop is sending a 50 page document to the priests of the diocese at some point this weekend. We will need to review this document and understand its contents regarding suggestions and requirements for our re-opening.
The pastoral staff will be meeting on Tuesday to review the bishops directives in light of our unique circumstances as Holy Spirit Parish. We will also be consulting with our Pastoral and Finance Councils. Following these consultative meetings, we will forward our pastoral plan to all of you.
Your patience and understanding during this important time of transitioning from “lock down to opening” is deeply appreciated.
No one desires having public liturgy and celebrating the sacraments publicly more than the priests and deacons of this parish. But we have to do this in a way that complies with public health and liturgical norms. We take seriously our responsibility to serve you in a way that ensures your health and well-being, both physically and spiritually.
Please continue to pray for us as we, together, work to meet these challenging times. We are confident that together with the Holy Spirit in the power of Jesus Christ, we will meet the challenge!
