Cory A. Lovich, 32, of 365 Bedford-Sharon Road passed away unexpectedly the afternoon of Jan. 5, 2022, at his residence. Cory was born on Feb. 18, 1989, in New Castle, the son of Richard and Deborah (Mortimer) Lovich.
He was of the Roman Catholic faith and attended Holy Spirit Parish-St. Mary site. Cory was a graduate of New Castle School of Trades. Mr. Lovich was working at the Star Extruded Shapes Company in the Maintenance and Mechanic departments. He enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson, going to sing karaoke at local bars, and hunting. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends, especially his nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Cory is survived by his brother, Jason (Sarah) Lovich of New Castle; sisters, Holly (fiancé, David Moore) Lovich of New Castle and Kiley (David) Byers of New Castle; and nieces and nephews, Karlee, Kenlee, Andrew, Mason, Liam, and Jaxin. Mr. Lovich was preceded in death by his grandparents, Andrew and Dorothy Lovich and Richard and Shelby Mortimer.
Calling hours will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 9, 2022, at the Noga Funeral home Inc., 1142 S. Mill St., New Castle. A procession will leave the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. Monday for Holy Spirit Parish, St. Mary Church, where a Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Brendan Dawson, parochial vicar of Holy Spirit Parish, will officiate. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery.
Eternal rest grant unto Cory, O Lord. Let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
