Congratulations to our newly welcomed RCIA Candidates and Catechumens. Thirteen men and women received the Rite of Acceptance at the 11:30 am Mass at St. Mary’s this past week end. Please keep these men and women in your prayers as they continue to discern God’s call in their lives.
Holy Spirit Parish is blessed with over 900 amazing volunteers of various ages and talents, all committed to the love of God and love of neighbor. YOU are this parish! Besides the sacraments that we reverently celebrate, your presence and participation in living the faith makes Jesus Christ present in our community. The time, talent, and treasure that each of you lovingly offers in the name of Jesus fulfills His command to be a disciple and to make disciples of others.
It is my desire, and the desire of our pastoral staff, to express our appreciation by inviting all of you to a reception at The Parish Center at our St. Mary site on Wednesday, January 29 th from 4 pm to 7 pm.
We did this appreciation reception last year for the first time and those who participated were very delighted. The food and beverages are delicious, and you can come and go as you please from 4 to 7 pm. One of the joys of this celebration is just being together, renewing old friendships, and making new ones. If you are a volunteer, or participate in any of our parish ministries, this special evening is for you. Please come, join the fun, and know how much your service is appreciated.
On February 1
st, from 10:30 am to 1 pm,
our parish is teaming up with Dr. Stephen Conti of Our Hearts to Your Soles and Catholic Charities to distribute over 200 pairs of boots to those in need. This event will include health screenings by our parish health ministries and volunteer nurses and doctors. There will also be a
free meal served. All this will take place at The Parish Center and the CCD Building at our St. Mary site.
The foot screenings and boot give away are for adult men and women. Thanks to Red Wing Boots for their generous donation. The boots will be given out on a first come, first served basis until they are gone.
