Clyde A. Perrotta, 86, of New Castle passed away the evening of July 7, 2023 at his residence. Born on August 17, 1936 in New Castle, Clyde was the son of the late John and Bruna Staffa Perrotta. Clyde was married thirty-four years to his beloved wife, the former Carol Lee. She survives at home.
Clyde had spent a long career in construction until he retired from Lindy Paving. He was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus site.
Clyde was an avid sports fan, especially of the Pittsburgh Steelers. A loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather his greatest joy was the time he spent with his family.
In addition to his wife, Clyde is survived by his three sons, Kenny Perrotta, Michael Perrotta and John Perrotta (Christine) and two step-daughters, Aimee Wheale and Tracee Granthan (Brian); his brother, John Perrotta (Shirley); eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Clyde was preceded in death by his daughter, Tammy Perrotta; his son, Keith Perrotta; his sister, Antoinette “Peachy” DeJoseph; and his two brothers, Anthony and Ronald Perrotta.
Visitation will be on Tuesday 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 941 S. Mill St. A procession will leave the funeral home on Wednesday at 10:15 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus Church. Father Benjamin Barr will officiate. Entombment will be in Parkside Mausoleum.
Eternal rest grant unto Clyde, O Lord. Let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
