Clara “Dolly” Mastroianni, 94, passed away the morning of April 30, 2021 at Shenango on the Green. Born on March 23, 1927 in New Castle, Dolly was the daughter of the late Louis and Carolina Marino Aiello. Dolly married her beloved husband, Phillip Mastroianni, on June 9, 1951. He preceded her in death on May 16, 2003.
Dolly was a parishioner of Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus Site. In the early years, Dolly had worked in her father’s shoe repair shop. She then worked at the Branding Iron, Ladies of the Dukes, and Croton Elementary School.
Dolly is survived by her daughter Corrinda Clarke and husband, Richard, of New Castle, a brother, Michael Aiello and wife, Ellen, of North Ridgeville, OH, a sister-in-law, Mary Aiello of New Castle, her grandson, Geoffrey Clarke and wife, Angie, of New Castle, her granddaughter, Jaime Clarke of Monroeville, great granddaughter, Koryn Kent, great grandson, Jamison Kent and numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Dolly was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph and Sam Aiello and five sisters, Genevieve Fidell, Angeline Grant, Jennie Villa, Frances Aiello and Mary Christine Aiello.
Visitation will be on Thursday, 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Ed & Don Decarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 941 South Mill St. Visitors are required to adhere to CDC guidelines regarding the wearing of face masks and practicing social distancing. A Blessing service will be held on Thursday at the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Richard Nero will officiate. Burial will be in St. Vitus Cemetery.
