Charles E. Hunt, 90, of New Castle passed away the morning of May 23, 2022 at Avalon Place. Born on November 29, 1931 in Princeton, PA, he was the son of the late C. Walter and Nellie White Hunt. Everett is survived by his beloved wife, the former Doris Cirillo, who he married on June 30, 1956.
Everett had owned and worked as a meat cutter at Sheridan Market. He was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, St. Joseph the Worker site. Everett had proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army during the Korean War Era. Everett was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan. He also enjoyed golfing and bowling. A loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather Everett’s greatest joy was the time he spent with his family.
In addition to his wife, Everett is survived by his children, Lori Minteer (Mark) of New Castle; Lisa Beylo (Frank) of Crofton, MD and David Hunt (Reva) of Valencia, PA; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
In addition to his parents, Everett was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Hunt.
Visitation will be on Thursday 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 941 S. Mill St. A Blessing Service will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 11:00 a.m. Deacon John Carran of Holy Spirit Parish will officiate. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
Eternal rest grant unto Everett, O Lord. Let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
