Barbara A. Calabrese, 80, of Neshannock Township passed away the morning of August 17, 2021 at The Grove at New Wilmington. Born on October 22, 1940 in Patton, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Martha Soupart DiBello. On July 15, 196,1 Barbara married her beloved husband, Frank B. Calabrese. He survives at home.
Barbara had worked as a bookkeeper for Tibor Jewelry and had also worked as a Nurse’s Aid at Jameson Hospital. She was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, St. Mary’s site. Barbara enjoyed cooking and baking. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Barbara’s greatest joy was taking care of and spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband, Barbara is survived by her two sons, Michael Calabrese and his wife, Lisa, of New Castle and David Calabrese of Cranberry Township, Pa., her two brothers, Bobby DiBello and Rick DiBello both of New Castle and her sister, Theresa Richards of New Castle, two step-grandchildren and five step-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her brother, Terrence DiBello.
Visitation will be on Friday 11:30 to 12:30 at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 941 South Mill St. A procession will leave the funeral home at 12:30 on Friday for a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 p.m. at Holy Spirit Parish, St. Mary’s Church. Father Brendan Dawson will officiate. Burial will be in Madonna Cemetery.
Give Barbara eternal rest, O Lord, and may your light shine on her forever. Let us find in your Son comfort for our sadness, certainty in our doubt, and courage to live through this hour. Make our faith strong through Christ our Lord. Amen.
