Augustine Faella, Jr. 92, of Neshannock Township, passed away the evening of December 9, 2021 at UPMC Jameson Care Center. Born in New Castle on September 14, 1929, Augie was the son of the late Augustine and Edith Fabian Faella.
Augie was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus site. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Augie was a self-employed barber in New Castle for over sixty years. He enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his sister and her family, especially all of his nieces.
He is survived by his sister, Eileen Melchiorre, and her husband, Alfred, of New Castle, his nieces, Lisa Miller, and husband, William; Lynne Loesch and husband, Daniel; and his great nieces, Alexa Miller, Lindsey Miller, Stephanie Loesch and Dana Loesch.
Honoring his wishes, a private Mass of Christian Burial for his family will be held at Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus Church conducted by Rev. Father Joseph McCaffrey. Entombment will take place at Parkside Cemetery and Mausoleum.
Eternal rest grant unto Augie, O Lord. Let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
