The Rosary Ministry at this time consists of 42 hard-working members. Since January 2020, over 5,000 rosaries were lovingly made by our ministry, and of these rosaries 5,000 have been shipped to: Holy Cross Family Ministries in Massachusetts, Educate the Congo Rosary Project in Ohio, and Mary Lynch in Florida.
These organizations ship the rosaries overseas to various missions. Our rosaries have reached Nicaragua, Venezuela, Haiti, Russia and Africa! Our most recent shipment to Florida has been forwarded to Nigeria. It is more cost-effective for us to ship our rosaries to organizations who have the means to ship them overseas.
Our rosaries have Also gone locally to RCIA candidates, retreat participants, and CCD home-schoolers. One individual called and asked for rosaries to pass out to friends. We have sent rosaries to St. Rita’s Church, Florida and St. Hilary’s Church, Washington, PA.
Our members have continued making rosaries throughout the pandemic and we continue to ship them out. Pick up and drop off occurs on my front porch at this time but hopefully we will be able to resume our meetings in the near future. Our members love making rosaries and we would be very happy to teach you how to make them. All materials are supplied.
