Antonette Frank, 91, formerly of Mahoningtown passed away the morning of October 13, 2022 at Jameson Care Center. Born on November 11, 1930 in Hillsville, PA, Antonette was the daughter of the late Peter and Cecila Pezzuolo Merolillo. On August 21, 1948, Antonette married her beloved husband, Nick Frank. He preceded her in death on April 19, 2005.
Antonette was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vincent de Paul site. She enjoyed cooking and baking. A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, her greatest joy was the time she spent with her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Gloria Jokinen Weingartner of New Castle; her two sisters, Jennie Merolillo Mangina and Rita Merolillo Stull, both of New Castle; two grandchildren, Lori Jokinen Vincent (Adam), and Alison Jo Weingartner; and three great-grandchildren, Valentina, Vionna and Leah.
In addition to her parents and husband, Antonette was preceded in death by six brothers, Joseph Merolillo, Carmen Merolillo, Louis Merolillo, John Merolillo, Peter Merolillo and Frank Merolillo, four sisters, Josephine Merolillo Vignolli, Thressa Merolillo, Mary Merolillo Cefero and Virginia Merolillo Keenan.
Visitation will be on Tuesday 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 941 S. Mill St. A procession will leave the funeral home on Tuesday at 12:15 p.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 p.m. at Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus Church. Father Benjamin Barr will officiate. Burial will be in St. Lucy Cemetery.
Eternal rest grant unto Antonette, O Lord. Let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
