Anthony Tito Cialella, 83, formerly of New Castle passed away the evening of February 23, 2022 at Hillcrest Hospital, Mayfield Heights, Ohio. Born March 28, 1938, in New Castle, he was the son of the late Antonio and Catherine Aicone Cialella. On September 2, 1966, Anthony married his beloved wife, the former Carole Flak. She survives at home.
Anthony was a graduate of New Castle High School and a proud member of the New Castle Football team. He then went on to graduate from Youngstown State University. Anthony had worked for Progressive Insurance Company for over thirtyfive years as a Regional Manager. He was an active member of St. Anselm Church in Chesterland, Ohio. Anthony had also been a former member of Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus Church, when he lived in New Castle.
Anthony had proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. He as was an avid golfer. He also enjoyed watching sports. A loving husband, father and grandfather, Anthony’s greatest joy was the time he spent with his family.
In addition to his wife, Anthony is survived by his son, Justin Cialella (Lauren) of Northville, MI, his daughter, J.M. Joseph (Casey) of Columbus, OH, his sister, Loretta Molfino of Little Egg Harbor, NJ and two granddaughters, Zoey and Morgan.
In addition to his parents, Anthony was preceded in death by three brothers, Ralph Cialella, Charles Cialella, Nick Lombardo, and one sister, Roseanne Conte.
Visitation will be on Wednesday 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 3000 Wilmington Road. A procession will leave the funeral home on Thursday at 10:15 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus Church. Father Brendan Dawson will officiate. Burial will be in Castle View Memorial Gardens.
Eternal rest grant unto Anthony, O Lord. Let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
