Anna Lou Parada, 96, of Neshannock Township passed away the morning of April 25, 2024 at her residence. Born in New Castle on November 1, 1927, Anna was the daughter of the late Clem and Florence DeLillo General. On October 12, 1959, Anna married her beloved husband, Manuel “Manny” Parada, Jr. He preceded her in death on February 9, 2005.
Anna worked as a draftsman for forty years for the City of Charlotte North Carolina when she retired. She was a member of Holy Spirit Parish. Anna enjoyed using her artistic abilities with her paintings and drawings. She was an avid hockey fan, especially of the Pittsburgh Penguins. Anna also enjoyed going to bingo and visiting casinos. She loved animals of all kinds. Always happy and upbeat she was affectionally known as “Betty Boop”.
Anna is survived by her brother-in-law, Egidio “James” Vascetti and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Anna was preceded in death by her two sisters, Virginia Jean Ross and Geraldine Vascetti.
Visitation will be on Tuesday 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 3000 Wilmington Road. A Blessing Service will follow on Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Deacon John Carran of Holy Spirit Parish will officiate. Entombment will be in Parkside Mausoleum.
Eternal rest grant unto Anna, O Lord. Let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
