Ann M. Micaletti, 91, of New Castle passed away the evening of March 29, 2020, at her residence. Born in New Castle on Dec. 5, 1928, Ann was a daughter of the late Carmine and Sabia Calabrese DiCesare. She is survived by her husband of more than 67 years, Danny Micaletti, whom she married on Nov. 27, 1952.
Ann was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus site. Ann had worked at the former Golden Hill Nursing Home in the housekeeping department. She enjoyed working word search puzzles. She was a great cook and enjoyed listening to music. Ann cherished the times she spent with her family, her grandchildren and lately enjoyed spending time with her caregivers.
In addition to her husband, Ann is survived by her two daughters, Denise Carney and her husband, Mike, of New Castle, and Suzanne Mori of Mars, Pennsylvania; her sister, Rita Dado of New Castle; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant sister, Gemma; her sister, Virginia DeCesare; and her brothers, Mike DeCesare and Frank DeCesare.
Due to the current health crisis in our communities, services will be private at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 S. Mill St. Burial will take place at Parkside Cemetery.
Lord God, you are attentive to the voice of our pleading. Give Ann eternal rest, O Lord, and may your light shine on her forever. Let us find in your Son comfort in our sadness, certainty in our doubt, and courage to live through this hour. Make our faith strong through Christ our Lord. Amen.
