On Oct 26, 2019, the annual Pink Tea hosted about 75 women (and a few men) who gathered for a dynamic speaker on Breast Cancer awareness. Dazzling us with her beautiful pink dress and vibrant personality, Amy Warner shared two breast cancer journeys, hers and her daughter's She shared videos of her daughter doing what she loved most, bicycling, and sharing tough life decisions that had to be made quickly. Her hope was to inspire people to keep fighting and live a full life. Listening to how her daughter biked 12 miles to and from treatment during Vermont's winter (yes, bikes can have snow tires!!) for 81 of her 84 treatments was incredible!
We thank her for her delightful and energetic talk. We also thank all the women who donated wonderful breakfast casseroles for the brunch. No one walked away hungry. Rounding out the event was our Carnival table of snacks: funnel cakes, cotton candy, soft pretzels to name a few. Many donated gifts were given away. The event ended with a prayer service remembering all those whose names were placed on the memorial table.
