In this time of lock-down and isolation, cards sent by the Card Ministry let our nursing home and homebound parishioners know that they are still an important part of our parish family! Since we are unable to visit in person, members deliver 265 cards to 12 local nursing homes, and staff at each location distributes them to residents. Thank you, nursing home staff, for that help!
Eucharistic Ministers deliver 100 cards to the homebound each month. Frequently, the card is accompanied by homemade soup made by members of the parish. Thank you, EMs!
Do you have a family member or friend who grew up in Lawrence County and is now serving in the armed forces? Send the name, address (please be sure address is correct), and the person submitting the request either by e-mail to misaac@hsplc.org or by calling Paula St. Clair at 724-714-1567.
Thank you for your donations of cards! We can’t use Sympathy or Mass cards, but we welcome blank cards we can decorate, card stock, and anyone with card-making experience. Thank you, Mary Ann Gibson, who has made 400 cards!
We have 36 members. We’d love to have more. We sign & address cards, and offer prayers for those parishioners. Some work from home. Please join us!
