Parents are the first teachers of the Faith. Faith formation is meant to supplement parents’ daily efforts to raise their children in the Catholic faith we all love so much. Our purpose is to strengthen, not replace, the faith formation learned in the home and in our weekly worship at Sunday Mass.
For our children in grades K-5th, we integrate a variety of learning styles and methods to engage children in the learning process. Mass is an essential component for learning about, and experiencing, what it means to know, love and serve God and others, and will be part of the Faith Formation experience.
We understand that there are reasons that children cannot participate in our regular Faith Formation program and choose the option of our Family Program. For this option, we require the parent(s) to attend 4 meetings per year to deepen their understanding of the faith so that they are better prepared to teach their child/ren the faith as well as to engage them in activities that reinforce our Catholic beliefs.
We use the Sadlier Christ in Us series.
