Vincie D. Greco, 71, of Edinburg passed away unexpectedly and peacefully in her sleep at home, the morning of April 8, 2020. Born on Aug. 10, 1948, in New Castle, she was a daughter of the late Rocco J. and Catherine Nestasie Tutino. On Aug. 10, 1968, she married her beloved husband Dominic Greco. He survives at home.
Vincie devoted her working career to being "All About Children." In the early years, she had a preschool she operated at her home. She then became preschool director for the former St. Lawrence Church. She was CCD director at St. Lawrence/Christ the King Parish for 13 years. Vincie also worked at the Trumbull County Summer Enrichment Program for handicapped children as a teacher's assistant every summer for 25 years. Vincie had also worked as the receptionist at Music Lessons for All in Poland, Ohio.
Vincie was a devoted member of Holy Spirit/Christ the King Parish. She was a member of Christian Mothers, a eucharistic minister and an alter server. For many years, she was the housekeeper and cook for the parish priest.
Vincie loved sports and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. She enjoyed visiting casinos with her husband. Vincie was a wonderful cook and baker. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, the most important thing above all else to Vincie was taking care of and spending time with all of her family.
In addition to her husband, Vincie is survived by her children, Cari Auth and her husband, Joseph, of Canfield, Ohio, Lou Greco and his wife, Jean Marie, of Edinburg, Valerie Villani and her husband, Richard, and Gina Geramita and her husband, Robert, all of New Castle; her brother, James Tutino and his wife, Kim, of Louisville, Ohio; two sisters, Patricia Karlovic and her husband, Frank, of Warren, Ohio, and Jaconda Sciola and her husband, Dominick, of Struthers, Ohio; and six grandchildren, Katherine Marie Auth, Emily Rose Auth, Josephine Donelle Greco, Vincent Anthony Villani, Santino Dominic Geramita, and Salvatore Anthony Geramita.
In addition to her parents, Vincie was preceded in death by her daughter, Donelle Josephine Greco.
Due to the current health crisis within our community, the service for the family will be private. A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date. The burial will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 S. Mill St.
