Susan Marie (Ludwiczak) Jordan, 56, passed away peacefully on the evening of Thursday, March 19, 2020, at Caprice Nursing Home, North Lima, Ohio. After a long illness following a car accident, she was surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 10, 1963, the daughter of Frank S. and Frances Ludwiczak.
She graduated from Union Area Jr-Sr. High School in 1981 and New Castle Beauty Academy in 1982. Susan is a Barbizon Modeling School graduate. She has worked for various beauty salons in the area and most recently was employed at New Castle Area School District as a para-professional since 2009. Her time working with the children of the New Castle Area School District was her most treasured and impactful employment. Susan was Roman Catholic.
Susan was an accomplished crafter, avid cook (loved to add garlic to any and every recipe), gardener, and Lucille Ball fan. She loved spending time outside in her yard, and paddling her boat on her private pond. Susan enjoyed spending every free minute with her grandson, Colton James. She was the host of the annual Borowski/Ludwiczak family reunion every summer.Susan was a cat lover. She could be found spending time with her beloved Siamese cat, Joey, and domestic house cat, Rocky.
Susan is survived by her husband of 17 years, Christopher D. Jordan; her mother, Frances (Maslyk) Ludwiczak; daughter, Marissa (T.J DeJohn, fiancée) Roberts; grandson, Colton J. DeJohn; brother, Eric F. (Michelle) Ludwiczak of Charlotte, North Carolina; and sister, Heidi M. (Richard) Ludwiczak-Orrico of Monaca, PA. Susan is survived by many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Frank S. Ludwiczak; maternal grandparents, Michael and Helen Maslyk; paternal grandparents, Frank J. and Henrietta M. Ludwiczak; and several great-uncles, uncles and aunts.
According to state and federal government guidelines, no calling hours scheduled at this time. A private family service will be held next week at the Noga Funeral Home, Inc. 1142 S. Mill Street, New Castle, PA. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Deacon Dan Kielar will officiate the Blessing Service from Holy Spirit Parish. Burial will be in SS Philip and James Cemetery.
