Robert A. Conn

October 23, 1942 to January 20, 2020

Robert A. Conn, 77, of Shenango Township passed away the afternoon of January 20, 2020 at UPMC Jameson. Born on October 23, 1942 in New Castle, he was the son of the late Anthony R. and Eleanor D. Dunn Conn. On January 29, 1977 he married his beloved wife the former Patricia A. Gallo. She survives at home.

Bob worked as an Independent Insurance Agent until his retirement. He was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus site. Bob had served his country as a member of the United States Army during the Vietnam Era, earning several medals and citations. He was an avid golfer, beginning his love of the game while he was in college. He also enjoyed fly fishing and was a big Pittsburgh sports fan. A loving husband, father and grandfather his greatest joy was the time he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Bob is survived by his children, Anthony J. Conn and his wife Diana of Cranberry Township, PA, Michael R. Conn and his wife Katie of Cranberry Township, PA, two sisters, Linda D. Caffro and Elaine D. Conn, both of Pompano Beach, FL, and four grandchildren, Maya, Layla, Antonio and Madison.

Visitation will be on Thursday, 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 941 South Mill St. The New Castle Area Honor Guard will perform Military Rites at the funeral home on Friday, January 24, 2020 at 9:15 a.m. A procession will leave the funeral home on Friday at 9:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus Church. Father Victor Molka, Jr. will officiate. Burial will be at Parkside Cemetery.
