Phyllis A. Comianos, 83, Formerly of Hazelcroft Ave. passed away the morning of October 26, 2019 at Quality of Life Service of New Castle. Born on March 26, 1936 in New Castle she was the daughter of the late James F. and Verna DeAugostine Fuleno. On June 30, 1956 she married her beloved husband, John Comianos and he survives.
Phyllis was a member of Holy Spirit Parish. Phyllis and her husband John owned and operated The American Newsstand on the Diamond in New Castle, together for sixty years. A wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Phyllis enjoyed going to Bingo. She loved cooking, especially at Christmas time for all of her family. Phyllis will be remembered for how she adored her parents and took care of them for many years.
Phyllis is survived by her children, Maria Bulisco of New Castle, Dr. Marc Comianos and his wife Patty of Myrtle Beach, SC, John Comianos and his wife Shari of New Castle, her brother Vincent J. Fuleno of New Castle, nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by her sister, Lucretia Fee and Son-in-law, Donald Bulisco.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 9 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus Site, officiated by Fr. Victor Molka. Interment will be in Parkside Cemetery.
