Pauline (DeCarbo) Dambrocia, 101, formerly of E. Lutton St., Shadylane Dr, and Vista South, passed away peacefully February 8, 2021 at Our Lady of Mercy Nursing Care Center, Guilderland NY. She was the daughter of Paul and Victoria Fazzone DeCarbo. In 1941 she married her husband, Charles (Charlie) J. Dambrocia, who preceded her in death in 1990.
Mrs. Dambrocia loved family and her many friends. She spent her life as an avid homemaker and caretaker, and was known for her passion for baking, especially at Christmas, when she would make hundreds of cookies to joyfully share with family and friends. She was known for her giving spirt, and was a lifelong member of St Vitus Church, (Holy Spirit Parish) and its Christian Mothers Society.
Mrs. Dambrocia is survived by one son, Joseph (Cynthia), two cherished grandchildren, CJ (Mollie) Dambrocia of Voorheesville NY, and Andrea (Eric) Dambrocia Descisciolo of Raleigh NC, as well five great grandchildren, Luca, Matteo, Evan, Leonardo, and Kyle, who brought her untold joy. She is also survived by her niece, Mary Ellen Cubellis Penwell, her husband Tom, and nieces/nephew Saundra (Gene) Dambrocia O’Sullivan, Carol (Larry) Dambrocia Rynerason, Kathleen (Bill) Dambrocia Golden, and Dr. Samuel Dambrocia, two great nieces, Kelly (Dan) Penwell Baronick, and Carrie (Ken) Penwell Adamo, and great nephew Ryan Penwell, a number of cousins, great cousins/nieces, and great nephews who she loved dearly.
In addition to her cherished husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her three beloved sisters, Jeanette DeCarbo Cubellis (Nick), Dorothy DeCarbo Dambrocia (Joseph), and Charolotte DeCarbo, her niece Victoria Dambrocia, and a number of aunts and uncles.
In addition to prayers, her wish is for any donations to be directed to St. Vitus School (Holy Spirit Academy), 915 S Jefferson St, New Castle, PA 16101. Arrangements for Christian burial will be made in the future through the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 South Mill St.
UPDATE: A Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Fr. Anthony Sciarappa of Holy Spirit Parish will be on Friday, April 30, at 10:30 am at St. Vitus Church. Interment will be at Graceland Cemetery.
