Paul M. Stanich

August 20, 1942 to August 5, 2020

Paul M. “Bub” Stanich, 77, of Neshannock Township, passed away the evening of August 5, 2020 at UPMC Mercy Hospital. Born on August 20, 1942, in New Castle, he was the son of the late Milan and Virginia Marcella Stanich. On February 19, 1962 Paul married the former Donna Book Stanich. She preceded him in death on June 19, 2006. On July 4, 2009, Paul married his wife the former Dannelle Ross. She survives at home.

Paul had worked as a truck driver until he retired. In the early years, Paul loved to ride motorcycles. He also enjoyed playing bingo. A loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, his greatest joy was the time he spent with his family.

In addition to his wife, Paul is survived by his daughter, Debbie Fye and her husband, Bil,l of Orchard Park, New York, two step daughters, Antonette Gealy of New Castle, Nicole Pagley of St. Clairsville, OH, two brothers, Theodore Stanich (Beverly) of Hawaii, Robert Stanich of Polk, PA, his former son-in-law, Mike Canton of New Castle, three grandchildren, Nicole Calabrese (Robert), Rachel Hughes (Steven), Mary Garcia (David), four step-grandchildren, Zachary, Emily, Lydia and Gino, and one great-grandchild, Asher Garcia.

In addition to his parents and first wife, Paul was preceded in death by his daughter, Paula Jean Stanich.

There will be a private visitation for the family at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 941 South Mill St. A private Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus Site. Father Brendan Dawson will officiate.

Lord God, you are attentive to the voice of our pleading. Give Paul eternal rest, O Lord, and may your light shine on him forever. Let us find in your Son comfort in our sadness, certainty in our doubt, and courage to live through this hour. Make our faith strong through Christ our Lord.  Amen.
