Patsy Piscitella Sr., 64, of New Castle passed away early on Father’s Day, June 20, 2021, at Butler Memorial Hospital. He was born in New Castle on April 8,1957 to the late John “Nickie” Piscitella and Mary (Vastano) Piscitella.
Patsy was a graduate of New Castle High School and Youngstown State University where he received a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance. He was employed by Pennsylvania American Water Company for over 30 years during which he wore several different hats. He retired in 2015 to spend more time with his adored wife and family.
Patsy was an avid hunter and enjoyed flea markets, cooking, and most of all laughing. He felt called to be a support and positive voice for the local community in any way he could, especially to those with cancer. His greatest pride and joy were his family and his grandchildren, of whom he talked constantly.
He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Stella Piscitella.
He is survived and will be greatly missed by his beloved wife of 41 years, Joye (Grego) Piscitella; his two children, Jennifer (Piscitella) Presnar and her husband, Kurtis, and Patsy Piscitella, Jr. and his wife, Bethany (Bollinger) Piscitella. Patsy was also blessed with five other beautiful grandchildren; Nora, Gianni, Marko, Patsy Wade, and Thalia. He is also survived by his aunt, Anna Vastano, his sisters, Connie (Piscitella) Sherman and her husband Dennis, and Anna (Piscitella) Musolino and her husband Ron; his two nieces, Krysti Monaco and Gianna Musolino and his nephew, Patrick Monaco.
Visitation will be held at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 941 S. Mill Street on Wednesday, June 23rd from 4:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. A procession will leave the funeral home on Thursday at 10:30a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus Church at 11:00a.m. officiated by Rev. Father Brendan Dawson. Burial will take place at St. Lucy Cemetery.
