Margaret A. Ponziani, 65, of South New Castle Boro passed away the morning of May 20, 2021 at her residence following a brief illness. Born on April 22, 1956 in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late Elias and Anita Mash Ponziani.
Margaret had worked as a registered nurse for eighteen years at Saint John XXIII Home in Hermitage, PA. She was a member of Holy Spirit Parish.
A loving sister and aunt, Margaret enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her great niece, Kaylee Rose.
Margaret is survived by her sister, Dorothea (Tia) Pander, two nephews, Brian Pander, Jr. and his wife, Natosha, Steven Pander, her great niece, Kaylee Rose Pander, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation will be on Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 941 South Mill St. Visitors are required to adhere to CDC guidelines regarding the wearing of masks and practicing social distancing. A Blessing service will be held on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Deacon John Carran of Holy Spirit Parish will officiate. Burial will be in St. Lucy Cemetery.
Give Margaret eternal rest, O Lord, and may your light shine on her forever. Let us find in your Son comfort in our sadness, certainty in our doubt, and courage to live through this hour. Make our faith strong through Christ our Lord. Amen.
