Jessie M. Hiles

November 5, 1937 to March 9, 2020

Jessie M. Hiles, 82, of New Castle passed away the afternoon of March 9, 2020 at her residence. Born on November 5, 1937 in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late Vittorio and Vincenza Morga Malizia. On March 15, 1969 she married her husband, Richard E. Hiles. He preceded her in death on March 24, 2001.

Jessie had worked for many years for Warners Photo Shoppe. She later worked for Liberty Mutual Insurance Company. Jessie was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus site. She enjoyed crocheting, reading and watching her favorite show, Law & Order, on television. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, her greatest joy was the time she spent with her family.

Jessie is survived by her three children, Patricia A. Fischer and her husband, Preston, Richard Hiles and his wife, Anastasia, and Joseph Hiles, her sister, Phyllis Iorio, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Jessie was preceded in death by her brother, Felix Malizia.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 941 South Mill St. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus Church. Father Brendan Dawson officiated. Burial was in Parkside Cemetery.
