David S. Rashid

October 9, 1935 to September 17, 2019

David S. Rashid, 83, of The Haven Convalescent Home, passed away the evening of September 17, 2019 at UPMC Jameson Hospital. David was born October 9, 1935 in New Castle. He was the son of the late Samuel J. and Lorice M. Rashid.

Mr. Rashid was of the Roman Catholic faith. David enjoyed listening to music, and was a big animal lover. His family and friends meant the world to him. Throughout David's life he had a wonderful spirit.

Mr. Rashid is survived by his sister, Serena (Frank) Campedelli a brother Jerome (Sylvia), niece Rochelle (Dr. Ryan) Nebel; great niece and nephew Lily and Jack Nebel all of New Castle. David was preceded in death by both his parents.

A graveside service was held Thursday at St. Joseph Cemetery. Rev. Brendan Dawson, Parochial Vicar of Holy Spirit Parish officiated. Local arrangements were entrusted to the Noga Funeral Home, 1142 S. Mill Street.
